This year, Honda is once again leaning into the official colours of the manufacturer, which means that, once again, the factory Honda BSB bikes are dressed in the traditional red, white, and blue of the Honda Racing Corporation.
For 2024, Honda Racing UK will look to help Tommy Bridewell defend his 2023 British Superbike Championship title with the new 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, and take Jack Kennedy back to success in the British Supersport Championship with the 2024 Honda CBR600RR. In the top class, Bridewell is joined by Dean Harrison and Andrew Irwin.
Bridewell’s arrival in 2024 will mark the first time Honda has fielded a reigning BSB Champion since 2011 when Ryuichi Kiyonari wore the #1 plate following his success in 2010.
On the launch of the 2024 Honda Racing UK BSB livery, Havier Beltran, Honda Racing UK Team Manager, said: “It has certainly been a busy winter this year, with the arrival of our new specification bikes and our expanded rider lineup, but I am certainly excited to kick off the season this weekend with the first official BSB test of the year.
“The 2024 bikes look fantastic in the traditional factory HRC colours and I cannot wait to see them in action at Donington Park. The team has worked exceptionally hard throughout the winter to prepare for the season ahead and we are thrilled to bring on board several new and exciting sponsors, who join our long list of trusted partners.
“Motorcycle racing is absolutely a collaborative effort, and revealing our livery represents the first milestone in what looks set to be a hugely exciting season.”
Neil Fletcher, Head of Motorcycles at Honda UK, added: “Although it seems that the chequered flag waved to signal the end of the 2023 season not so long ago, rest assured that there has been a significant amount of work to get to this moment.
“Hence why I am so delighted to reveal the colours of our 2024 challengers in British Superbike and Supersport. There is no denying the influence of the iconic HRC colours and I am extremely proud to continue to champion such a traditional Honda livery.
“Racing is woven into the very fabric of Honda and indeed our sponsors, which is why I am so eager to start this new season and push towards our goals. There is a real buzz about the team this year with great anticipation and enthusiasm for the season ahead.”
The first official preseason test of 2024 will take place at Donington Park this weekend (6-7 April), before the season begins at the Circuito de Navarra on 20-21 April.
